We have made a number of changes to our rates, policies, and payment options from previous years, so please read carefully. Links to our band new online forms are at the bottom of this page.

Registration by PayPal or Mail

Registration is based on a first come basis. You may register online and pay through PayPal, or register by mail with the PDF forms found below. We encourage you to use our online registration process. Parents registering online through PayPal will know immediately if a session date is full and may choose an alternate date at that time. PayPal will send email notification if your credit card or PayPal payment has gone through. If it has not gone through, then try again or contact Art Farm Director Perrin Weston Coman at director@CarlsbadArtFarm.com.

Changing Camp Dates After Registration

We know that sometimes busy family schedules change or a student gets a really bad cold the week they are to attend.  Art Farm works hard to accommodate requests to change a session date if we can. This is not always possible. For refund and cancellation policy, please see below.

Wait Lists

If a session date is full, we can put your student on a wait list. Please email us to be placed on a wait list for a given camp session. Type “Wait list request” in the subject heading.

Scholarships

Art Farm has a limited number of partial scholarships available for students each summer. We offer these scholarships based on trust. If you say you need a scholarship for your child, then we take you at your word. Because scholarships are limited, we ask that families who do not need them don’t ask for scholarships. We begin accepting scholarship requests June 1. Scholarship requests are not accepted prior to this date.

Rates

Art Farm offers a first-rate, weeklong outdoor art and natural science enrichment camp that is unique in San Diego County. Our program is fun and educational. Many of our camp students rate our program “awesome”, and tell us it’s hands-down “the best summer camp ever!” Students in Grades 2-8 will come away from their Art Farm experience with new skills and an appreciation for this 10-acre private coastal woodland habitat. Students have access to our wonderful farm animals, and one-on-one instruction with talented local artists and naturalists.

To offer all this while keeping camp classes small means that Art Farm camps might cost a little more. At the same time, we want to keep it affordable for many families, especially in the present economy. The price structuring this year reflects an overall decrease in price over previous years. We are phasing out “sibling rates”, but for large families this price decrease means the cost is still a drop overall.

The rate this year is a flat $335 per session/per student. This is a $100 decrease from our full tuition last summer. Payment is in full at time of registration.

Summer Camp Activities

Discounts

Art Farm will not be offering Groupon, Living Social, or other special discounts this summer. Our new pricing is the best we can afford to offer families while making it affordable for us to offer your students this outstanding experience.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Tuition includes a $100 non-refundable deposit per student/per session. We will accept cancellations and refund tuitions minus per child deposits up to June 1, 2012. Please note that we cannot refund summer camp tuitions after June 1, 2012, for any reason.

All cancellation requests must be received by email no later than June 1, 2012.  No exceptions. All cancellation requests must have “Cancellation Request” typed in the subject head. Please send all cancellation requests to: director@CarlsbadArtFarm.com

Who May Attend?

All summer camp students must be entering Grades 2-8 in fall 2012. No exceptions. Our students come from the entire San Diego area, with a high concentration in North County San Diego.

Class Structure

Students are rotated through two dedicated art classes and a hands-on natural science enrichment class daily. Students are placed in one of three groups based on grade level attending in the fall. All classes are age appropriate, to keep students challenged and engaged. We also build in time for students to spend with our many farm animals, play games, work on independent art-based projects, and for structured free time. Most students are so engaged that they don’t want to leave at the end of each day.

Art Farm Summer Day Camps run weekly beginning June 11, Monday through Friday. Hours are 9 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. Students are welcome to attend multiple sessions. Many do.

Art Farm has four required forms. Once you click on the link below, you will be taken through 5 steps. You must complete all steps in order to register. At the end of the process, you will receive an email confirmation of your registrations. REMEMBER that if you choose to pay by check, your payment must be received within 5 business days. If we do not receive your payment within 5 business days, your registration will be void. PayPal will send email notification if your credit card or PayPal payment has gone through. Mail Registration Forms

You have the option to pay via PayPal and mail in your forms, fill in the online forms and mail in a check, or mail in the forms and the payment. If registering by mail and/or check, there is a chance your first-pick camp date may be filled by the time we receive your payment, in which case we will email you immediately to offer alternate dates. If no alternate date works, we will cancel your check. You will still need to fill out all the forms online.
